On December 27, 2004 Henkel completed the $575m-worth acquisition of Sovereign Specialty Chemicals, the U.S. adhesives company, and now firmly holds a number-two position (25% in US sales) on adhesives and sealants market of America. The product range includes sophisticated adhesives, sealants and coating materials for various industrial applications as well as for the craftsmen and DIY markets.
