Stepan to Increase Prices for Polyurethane Systems

NORTHFIELD, IL. -- Effective January 1, 2006 or as contracts allow, Stepan will increase the prices for its STEPANFOAM® polyurethane systems products according to the following schedule:
GE $0.08 per pound for STEPANFOAM® Water Blown Foams
$0.10 per pound for STEPANFOAM® Hydrocarbon Blown Foams
$0.10 per pound for STEPANFOAM® RM Series Products
$0.14 per pound for STEPANFOAM® HFC Blown Foams
"These increases are in response to the continued pressure on raw material feed stocks and energy in the wake of recent North American events", stated Brad Beauchamp Business Manager for Polyurethane Systems. "While we remain sensitive to our customers, the underlying costs associated with creation of polyurethane resins and isocyanates necessitated this action."
