Rosti closes the Group's manufacturing activities in Skive, Denmark.
After numerous restructurings and efforts to improve the operative results of the loss-making Rosti Skive A/S, the Rosti Group has decided to end production at the site. The production in Skive was ended as of 16 December 2005. Regrettably, 39 employees were made redundant.
The main part of the customer's production at Rosti's Technical Plastics site in Skive has been transferred to other Rosti sites in Europe; primarily Poland and to a lesser extent to the Netherlands and Scotland.
The sales function for Denmark and Scandinavia will be maintained as a link to the Group's sites in Europe, USA, Mexico and China. Other activities within the Rosti Group remain unaffected by the mentioned changes.
Globally, the Rosti Group employs more than 2,000 people at 20 sites in 10 countries within technical plastics and bottles/containers packaging. The sale to large global customers continues to grow especially in China, Poland and Mexico.
