WILMINGTON, Del. -- DuPont Engineering Polymers announces additional price increases across the following product families in North America, effective Oct. 15, 2006, based on continuing structural escalation of raw material and energy costs coupled with on-going increased transportation and logistics costs.
DuPont™ Zytel® and DuPont™ Minlon® nylon products and DuPont™ Delrin® acetal products will increase an additional 12 cents per pound.
DuPont™ Zytel® HTN high-performance polyamide, DuPont™ Crastin® PBT, DuPont™ Hytrel® TCP-ET, DuPont™ Thermx® PCT and DuPont™ Zenite® LCP products will increase 15 cents per pound.
DuPont strives continuously to offset escalating costs with productivity programs and other containment measures. However, the magnitude of the cost increases coupled with strong market demand makes these price increases essential.
