BASF Increases Prices for Acid Chlorides, Chloroformates and Related Specialties

With immediate effect, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices for all acid chlorides, chloroformates and related specialties by 7 % worldwide, with the following exceptions, for which the prices will be increased as indicated:
These price increases are predominantly necessary due to increasing raw material costs and the resulting unsatisfactory margins.
Acid chlorides and chloroformates are chemical intermediates used to manufacture pharmaceuticals, crop protection agents and initiators for the plastics industry. They are also used in the production of high-value papers. With plants in Europe and Asia, BASF is one of the leading suppliers of these products.
