Battenfeld Planning for Optimal Customer Support Also in Future Continued 24-hours Service Commitment
February 28 , 2006
The relocation of the Battenfeld injection molding machine production from Meinerzhagen (Germany) to Kottingbrunn (Austria), which was decided in November 2005, is going ahead on schedule and expected to be completed by the middle of this year. Nevertheless, customer support and spare parts service for the machines that have been manufactured in Meinerzhagen so far will be continued at the present location.
"Customer service and support are essential parts of our overall service portfolio", says Dietmar Morwitzer, Managing Director of Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen. "Our customers can rely on us to take excellent care of them also in future".
A special customer support company at the Meinerzhagen site will coordinate the work of service engineers and service technicians not only for the German market. International customers will also be offered the same first-class service as they have received before. "In this area, we can rely on our proven staff. In most cases our cus-tomers will be in contact with the same service engineers who have taken care of them in the past", Morwitzer comments.
Traditionally, Germany is one of the most important markets of Battenfeld Injection Molding Technology. In order to ensure closeness to customers also in future, a new sales company that has been set up in Meinerzhagen, will be responsible for marketing Battenfeld injection molding machines in Germany as well as taking care of German customers.
The Kottingbrunn facility currently manufactures machines in the clamping force range up to 650 t. Its production program will be continuously extended upwards with the aim of developing Battenfeld into a full-range supplier once again.
