NOVA Innovene Announces a March Price Increase for its Styrenic Polymers
February 23 , 2006
FRIBOURG -- NOVA Innovene announced it will increase prices for both Polystyrene (PS) and Expandable Polystyrene (EPS). The PS price increase will be 70 Euro per metric tonne and the EPS price increase will be 50 Euro per metric tonne , both increases effective March 1st, 2006. Margins have been at an unacceptable level for some time and these increases are necessary to offset the significant increases in costs in the styrenic chain.
The premium for High Impact Polystyrene resins over General Purpose polystyrene resins will also be increased to 60 Euro per metric tonne effective March 1st in order to cover large increases in our raw material costs over the past 12 months.
