Albemarle to Increase Prices of NcendX® Flame Retardant

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), the world's leading manufacturer of flame retardants, will increase the global prices for its NcendX P-30 bisphenol A diphosphate-type flame retardant by five (5) percent effective April 1, 2006, or as contracts allow.
NcendX P-30 liquid phosphorus flame retardant is an outstanding performer in resin blends used in electronic enclosure plastics such as PC/ABS and PPE/HIPS. NcendX P-30 flame retardant improves resin melt flow and exhibits outstanding thermal stability, excellent hydrolytic stability, low migration and low volatility.
