PolyOne Introduces OnColor™ Colorants Catalog For Thermoplastic Resin Applications
March 17, 2006
CLEVELAND -- PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL) announced the introduction of its OnColor™ colorants catalog. With more than 100 colors, this brochure provides customers with an easy-to-use reference guide for PolyOne's standard colorants.
The catalog features colorants that can be used in multiple applications, and colorants specific to polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging applications and film applications. White and black colorants are also included. The catalog is ideal for users whose resins and applications demand specific colorant properties.
OnColor™ colorants can be used with most resins, including polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as in most processes such as injection molding, blow molding and profile extrusion processes. Light, medium and dark shades are available as well as special effect colors, including pearlescents and metallics.
"The new catalog enables our customers to quickly evaluate and then select a colorant for their specific applications. By providing our customers with easy access to our colorants, we help them get their products to market faster," said Carl Knight, market manager, Color & Additives Masterbatches.
PolyOne OnColor catalog colorants are made without heavy metals. In addition, several FDA-approved standard colors are available. OnColor catalog colorants are used in a wide variety of industrial and consumer markets, including packaging, automotive, custom molding, film and sheet, pipes and fittings, wire and cable, and profile extrusion. The OnColor colorants catalog complements PolyOne's online color catalog, which can be accessed at its website.
If customers require a color outside of PolyOne's standard colorant offering, PolyOne color-matching experts can search a portfolio color database with more than 5 million synthesized color formulations. This electronic color matching system allows PolyOne to locate a color without physical color matching, which means faster product selection, delivery and, ultimately, speed to market. PolyOne also offers custom color formulations to meet any color request.
