BOY Machines, Inc., the Exton, PA-based supplier of injection molding machines with clamping forces up to 100 U.S. tons, will introduce its BOY 55Ae injection molding machine at NPE 2006 (Booth 2660, South Hall).
In addition to a patented energy-saving clamp intensifier, very generous tie-bar spacing, and two-platen clamping system, the BOY 55Ae features eject-on-the-fly and a servo-electric screw drive as standard equipment. The BOY 55Ae continues to offer the well-documented advantages of a hydraulic clamp, hydraulic injection and, unlike the so-called "all-electric" machines, sufficient and repeatable nozzle force.
The standard feature eject-on-the-fly is achieved through the use of a double-pump system. It is especially efficient in the production of screw caps where tests have shown cycle time reductions of a much as 11%.
The servo-electric screw drive can also offer further reductions in both energy consumption and cycle time. For certain applications, this standard feature provides the capability of simultaneous screw recovery.
BOY Machines, Inc. is the exclusive U.S. importer of BOY injection molding machines, which are recognized worldwide for the unsurpassed quality and service record. The company has been selling and servicing these machines in North America for over 30 years.
