NEUREDER AG has Now Been Renamed Krauss-Maffei Automation AG

MUNICH -- Immediate effect, the Krauss-Maffei subsidiary NEUREDER AG will be trading under the brand name Krauss-Maffei Automation AG.
With this action, Krauss-Maffei will expand its competence in the Automation sector and turn it into a major business activity. "With this renaming we wish to signal to our customers, that we are a worldwide systems-provider of injection moulding automation. The name is new, but the continuity in business management remains unchanged by it," announced Josef Martl, Chairman of the Krauss-Maffei Board of Management. Josef Neureder, founder of the original company, continues to be responsible for the Krauss-Maffei Automation AG as its Managing Director. Krauss-Maffei acquired the NEUREDER AG in November 2002.
"Under the new name, we provide our usual high quality and cost-effective solutions for the plastics-processing industry", explained Managing Director Josef Neureder. The Krauss-Maffei Automation AG will in future be present at two locations. The company’s Headquarters remain at Oberding-Schwaig near Erding. This is where the competence centre for complicated automation solutions is located. These particularly concern high-tech processes, such as the trimming of textile-decorated components, the cleaning and priming of glass panels as well as the insert technology. The existing production area at the Munich-Allach base will continue to be extended. A shop with a production area of 900 m? will be started-up in April 2006. "It is our aim, to increase the quota of injection moulding machines destined for standard applications, but integrally equipped with linear robots during the assembly-stage in our factory, and to convince our customers with stronger arguments than hitherto of our integrated automation solutions," explained Josef Neureder. By December 2005, more than 300 linear robots of the LR-range were taken into operation globally.
The former NEUREDER AG was founded in November 1982. The company is specialised in linear robots, industrial robots as floor-, wall-installation and console controlled, high-speed-robots, as well as turnkey automation solutions. The company has 150 employees.
