Effective from October 1, 2006, Ticona, the technical polymers business of Celanese Corporation, is increasing the prices for its polyacetal Hostaform®, for polyester (Celanex®, Vandar®, Riteflex® and Impet®) products and for Celstran® LFT in Europe. The reason for the increase is the rapid escalation in raw material prices, energy and transportation costs.
With effect from October 1, 2006, or as contracts allow, the prices are being raised as follows:
