WAALWIJK -- DSM NeoResins will implement price increases for their specialty resins in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Effective quarter 4, 2006, DSM NeoResins is raising the selling prices for all specialty resins for the Coatings, Graphic Arts and Adhesives markets:
NeoCryl® Emulsion- and Solid Acrylics: + 4%
NeoPac® Urethane-Acrylics: + 5%.
NeoRez® Waterborne Urethanes: + 5%
NeoRez® Solventborne Urethanes: + 8 to10%
Haloflex® Vinyl-Acrylics: + 8%
Other Resins and Additives: + 4%
The ongoing increases in the costs of raw materials, energy and freight costs are so significant that they cannot be offset by internal measures. Should the situation in the global markets for raw materials continue to escalate, DSM NeoResins reserves the right to make further timely adjustments to its selling prices in response to rising costs. All current contractual obligations will be fulfilled.
