BASF Raises Prices for Engineering Plastics in Europe
Sep 25, 2006
Effective October 1st, 2006, BASF will increase its prices for compounded Ultramid®/Miramid®/Capron® (PA), Ultradur® (PBT) and Ultraform® (POM) in Europe by 150 Euro per metric ton. The global increase in feedstock prices, energy and transportation costs forces BASF to implement higher prices for these products.
Engineering plastics such as polyamide (PA), polyoxymethylene (POM) as well as polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) are employed throughout the technical world and in our daily life, in automotive construction, in the electric & electronics realm, in mechanical engineering as well as in households, in offices and in recreation.
