Geneva, September 2006 - - The European headquarters of DuPont Engineering Polymers announced that in Europe, Middle East and Africa prices for polyamide 6 and 66, polyacetal and polyesters will increase by € 0,20/kg effective October 15th, 2006. The polymers and compounded products affected include DuPont™ Zytel® , DuPont™ Minlon®, DuPont™ Crastin®, DuPont™ Delrin® and DuPont™ Rynite®.
DuPont™ Hytrel® thermoplastic polyester elastomer, DuPont™ Thermx® high performance polyester, DuPont™ Zytel® HTN high performance polyamide and DuPont™ Zenite® LCP will increase by € 0,25/kg.
Some specialty grades will in certain cases increase by a larger amount.
This price increase is driven by continued structural escalation of raw materials, energy, transportation and logistics costs and will help to ensure continuous supply of high-quality products.
