PU buyers from around the globe will descend upon Orlando, Florida, on September 24 for the opening of the first polyurethane exhibition and conference, organised in partnership by the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI), formerly known as the Alliance for the Polyurethane Industry, and Industrial Promotions International (I.P.I.)/Crain Communications. The event will take place on Sept. 24-26 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando and combines the Polyurethane Technical Conference, organized by CPI, and the UTECH North America Exhibition.
UTECH North America occupies 35000 square ft of net exhibit space incl. poster session area, according to show organiser Tony Kenter. The current exhibitors list features over 100 stands representing more than 125 international companies including a strong presence from China and Europe. The list of confirmed exhibitors features Air Products, Albrecht Baumer, Arkema, Baul?, Bayer Material Science, BYK, Cannon, Chemtura, COIM, Degussa/Goldschmidt, ERA Polymers, Hennecke, Hyperlast, Momentive Performance Materials, Solvay Fluor, Tosoh, Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes and many other leading players. "We are expecting strong buyer representation at UTECH North America according to pre-registration data from all over the world in mid-June. The information received prior to the event reflects the high level of business meetings that will take place at the show."
The Polyurethanes 2007 Technical Conference, in partnership with UTECH North America Exhibition, will feature 19 technical and two issue-oriented sessions in all, with many additional poster presentations on breakthrough technologies, developing markets and product innovations. Over the three days, 100 technical papers will be presented; papers represent a wide range of polyurethane issues, categories and applications, including: renewable content polyols; environmental health and safety; footwear; FR and combustibility; flexible foams; processing innovation; automotive; coatings, adhesives and sealants; spray and TPU/cast elastomers; recycling; energy critical foams; construction; rigid spray foam; furnishing; and appliances. In addition to the technical sessions and the exhibits, the 2007 event will include the popular Polyurethane Professional Development Program - eight seminars ranging from introductory courses to advanced topics.
I.P.I., based in Goor, the Netherlands, was established in 1983. Its expertise is in arranging high quality and successful events for both the construction and polymer industries with meticulous attention to detail combined with total support for exhibitors. Crain Communications, joint organizer with I.P.I. of the UTECH events, was established in 1916 and is now the largest privately owned publishing group in North America.
