Succinimide Market Research (China)

Succinimide is an important raw material or intermediate in chemical synthesis, it can be used to produce N-halogen succinimide,silver cyanide-free electroplating. Research and production of succinimide began in the 1980s. However, industrial production of succinimide commenced from early1990s.Before the year 2000, the output of succinimide in China was only several tens of tonnes. With the increasing demand of downstream products in oversea markets, the production of succinimide has developed gradually since 2000, though the growth rate is not very quick.

There are less than 10 active producers of succinimide at present, the total production capacity are more then 1,600t/a. Producers of succinimide are clustered in Jiangsu province. Some producers proudce series of products of succinic acid, and they often change their production focus according to the market. There is no great innovation of technology of succinimide Production in China.

Succinimide price kept stable in recent two years, for operation rate in of succinimide very low in China and clients of producer are comparatively fixed.Large part of the succinimide is producered by order, and over quarter of the China's output of succinimide is exported.
