TCM has not only systematic theory but also plentiful therapeutically methods, welcomed by the Chinese people, and has attracted increasing attention from the people all over the world. There are now 2,457 specialized traditional Chinese hospitals including 39 TCM-WM integrated hospitals and 129 nationality medicine hospitals in China. Traditional Chinese medicine hospitals have been established in 75% of the counties across the country. Consecutive market monitoring on the situation of TCM has been conducted from 1997 to 2004.
